We are very lucky here at Welbeck to have so much outdoor space to explore, whatever the weather. Our garden spaces are full of magic, music and wonder and the children are free to roam from area to area.

 

We have a beautiful allotment where the children can help us to plant and look after vegetables as we learn about the important creatures that help the growing process, such as bees and worms. We have a bug hotel which our children helped to create, so that we can encourage more creatures into our garden for us to learn about and look after.

 

The children love to feed our resident chickens and they are even able to help collect any eggs that are laid, and our rabbit loves to get some cuddles!

 

We also have a construction area where the children can build dens and add leaves, grass and flowers to them. They love to use their dens in role playing games which help to stimulate and develop their imagination and build new friendships.
